Composite Solutions constructed the 97 foot in-mast furling section
for this Hood 65 built by Dana Robes Boatbuilding. The rig is a full
custom carbon fiber rig, including masthead, spreaders and bars,
goosenecks, and boom.
The quality of materials, design, process, and support by CSI are equal to the highest levels available worldwide. Complete autoclave curing was used throughout of the pre-preg materials. Computer designed and CNC shaped tooling all created in-house allowed total design flexibility. As a result, we were able to choose different composite processes to best execute the lamination and curing of each specific component. Since launch, Sarah Jane has logged over 15,000 trouble free miles between Maine and the Caribbean. |
